มื่อวันที่ 14 เมษายน 2568 นายสุรเชษฐ์ บุญธินันท์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองการาจี ได้รับเชิญให้เป็นประธาน ในพิธีเปิดงานสัปดาห์ไทย ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่ซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Imtiaz ที่ซัมซามา เมืองการาจี ในระหว่างการกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ กงสุลใหญ่ได้กล่าวชื่นชมพนักงานซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Imtiaz ที่ให้ความช่วยเหลือและสนับสนุนการจัดงานในครั้งนี้จนประสบผลสำเร็จ พร้อมทั้งขอบคุณกระทรวงพาณิชย์ของไทย ที่เล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญและให้ความสนับสนุนการจัดโครงการสัปดาห์ไทยในครั้งนี้อย่างต่อเนื่อง กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เน้นย้ำถึง ความสำคัญของความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและปากีสถานในมิติต่างๆ ทั้งในด้านการค้าไปจนถึงการท่องเที่ยว และมุ่งหวังที่จะกระชับความร่วมมือกับซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต lmtiaz และชุมชนธุรกิจอื่นๆ ของปากีสถาน เพื่อให้เกิด ประโยชน์ต่อประชาชนในทั้งสองประเทศ ในช่วงงานเลี้ยงต้อนรับ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น กับผู้บริหารซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต lmtiaz และนักธุรกิจชาวปากีสถานคนอื่นๆ เพื่อแสวงหาลู่ทางการนำเข้าอาหารและสินค้าไทยมายังปากีสถานเพิ่มมากขึ้น

On 14 April 2025, Mr. Surashete Boontinand, Consul General of Thailand in Karachi, presided over the opening ceremony of Thai Week, held at Imtiaz Supermarket, Zamzama, Karachi.
During his speech, the Consul General commended the Imtiaz Supermarket staff at all levels for their efforts in making the event a success and thanked the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand for its continued support of the Thai Week project. He highlighted the importance of the Thailand–Pakistan partnership across various sectors, from trade to tourism. Amid a changing economic landscape, he expressed his hope to deepen cooperation with Imtiaz Supermarket and other Pakistani business communities for the mutual benefit of both nations. During the reception, he also exchanged views with Imtiaz management and other Pakistani business leaders on the possibility of importing more Thai foods and products into Pakistan, particularly into Karachi.
