เมื่อวันที่ 30 พฤศจิกายน 2566 นายณรุทธ์ สุนทโรดม กงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองการาจี เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะและพบหารือนายมาลิก อับดุล วาลิ กาคาร์ ผู้ว่าราชการแคว้นบาลูจิสถาน และนายมิร์ อาลี มาร์ดัน คาน ดอมกิ Chief Minister แคว้นบาลูจิสถาน ในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ โดยมีนายนาวาบซาดา มิร์ จามาลคาน ไรซานี่ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกิจการเยาวชน กีฬา และวัฒนธรรมแคว้นบาลูจิสถานเข้าร่วมด้วย

สองฝ่ายหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย – บาลูจิสถานและปากีสถานให้แน่นแฟ้นมากขึ้น โดยผ่านกรอบความร่วมมือทวิภาคีที่มีอยู่ เพื่อลดอุปสรรคทางการค้า ตลอดจนอำนวยความสะดวกด้านการค้าการลงทุนและบริการ ซึ่งเป็นประโยชน์แก่ประชาชนของสองฝ่าย

ฝ่ายบาลูจิสถานแสดงความยินดีต่อความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาระหว่างฝ่ายไทย (มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง) และสถาบันการศึกษาในพื้นที่บาลูจิสถาน ซึ่งจะเป็น ประโยชน์แก่เยาวชนจำนวนมากที่มีศักยภาพแต่ขาดโอกาส ทั้งนี้ ผู้ว่าราชการและ Chief Minister แคว้นบาลูจิสถานยังแสดงความประสงค์ที่จะเยือนไทยในอนาคตด้วย

Consul General of Thailand in Karachi Paid a Courtesy Call on Balochistan Governor and Chief Minister

On 30 November 2023, Mr. Narut Soontarodom, Consul General of Thailand in Karachi, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, Governor of Balochistan, and Mr. Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, Chief Minister of Balochistan, on the occasion of his assumption of duty. Mr. Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Culture of Balochistan, also attended the meeting.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen Thai-Balochistan and Pakistan relations through the existing bilateral cooperation framework. They also discussed ways to reduce trade barriers and facilitate trade, investment, and services, which would benefit the people of both sides.

The Balochistan side welcomed the cooperation in education between the Thai side (Mae Fah Luang University) and educational institutions in Balochistan, which would benefit many talented but disadvantaged young people. The Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan also expressed their desire to visit Thailand in the future.
