13 April 2019: Thai community gathered at Beach Luxury hotel, Karachi to celebrate the Thai New Year. Businessmen from Pak-Thai Friendship Association and Business Forum, friends of Thailand, and diplomats from ASEAN and Japan also joined the event. Thai community comprises of families from Thai Consulate staff, Thai Airways staff, Thai student, Thai housewives, and Thais who work in Karachi. Children played water with their water guns. Many got wet in the 3-hour event. Variety of Thai cuisine were prepared by Madam Thai Paki Club. The event has shown the unity among the Thai community regardless of religion, race, color and class.
