On 20 March 2019 Consul General of Thailand Thatree Chauvachata and his team visited AMTF - Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation at ST-1C Block 10, Ayesha Manzil, F.B. Area, Karachi, having a conversation with Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman, Executive Director of AMTF and Dr. Asim Qidwai, Founder & CEO of AMTF. AMTF is seeking cooperation with other countries focusing on Thalassemia, a blood disorder passed down through families (inherited) in which the body makes an abnormal form or inadequate amount of hemoglobin. The cooperation included prevention plan, treatment, drugs and research.
