1.Honorable Mr. Abdul Bari Pitafi, Minister for Livestock & Fisheries/ Cooperative Department, Government of Sindh hosted a dinner at the Minister’s residence to CG and Mr. Apipan Cheecharoen, Deputy CG along with the following dignities:

The Secretary for Livestock & Fisheries briefed on fishing industry in Pakistan while the Minister for Livestock & Fisheries expressed his pleasure to receive CG and his desire to work closely with the concerned authorities in Thailand. The Secretary for Livestock & Fisheries views Thailand as a major marine production country which Pakistan can learn a lot in several aspects such as fishing, processing, fish feed industry, and shrimp/fish farming.
3. The Private Secretary of Minister for Livestock & Fisheries mentioned that CP used to invest in Sindh 4-5 years ago and wished that CP would come back to invest in Sindh again.
4. CG suggested that having an official exchange visit between Pakistan and Thailand in the interested areas would be a good start.
5. The Minister for Education was pleased to meet with CG and was excited to hear that there were almost 100,000 Pakistani tourists’ arrival in Thailand last year and expected the same for Thai tourists’ arrival to Pakistan. The Member of Provincial Assembly added that he would like to see Thai investors investing in Pakistan, especially in service businesses such as hotel and recreation.
6. CG informed the Ministers that a dancing troop from Thailand will perform Thai classical dances at My Karachi Exhibition at Karachi Expo Center on 5-7 April 2019 (in the afternoon) and also at Thai Food Festival at Beach Luxury Hotel on 5-8 April 2019 (in the evening). Moreover, there will be 2 cooking lessons at Beach Luxury Hotel on 8 April 2019 and at Pakistan Institute of Tourism & Hotel management (PITHM) on 9 April 2019 as well.
