A seminar among Thai students and Thai communities in Karachi on emergency and evacuation plan took place at the Royal Thai Consulate General on 8 March 2019. The session conducted by Consul General Thatree Chauvachata was back to back with the Thai General Election abroad. The emergency and evacuation plan became a hot issue because of the recent Pakistan-India conflict at Jammu and Kashmir. Details of the plan mostly concerned with an update on contact numbers and people in charge. Meanwhile, the Thai election went smoothly. Vote turnout was 102, accounted for 79% of the total of vote registration. The percentage was lower than what the Consulate expected. Due to the Pakistan airspace closure, some Thai people has changed their schedule and could not make it to cast the ballot.
