The Consul General of Thailand in Karachi Thatree Chauvachata hosted luncheon to ASEAN Consuls General and spouses in Karachi at his residence on 23 February 2019. The ASEAN get-together was the first time this year. The aim was to strengthen the friendly close atmosphere among ASEAN. The cooperation went further to having a trip plan outside Karachi together. The exchange of views was constructive with sharing their experiences during their tenure in Pakistan, for instance, buying diplomat’s vehicles, getting diplomat IDs, obtaining NOCs, etc. The Indonesian CG Totok Prianamto took up his position in Karachi first in 2018, followed by Malaysian CG Khairul Nazran Abd Rahman and Thai CG respectively in the same year. Deputy Consul General of Thailand in Karachi Apipan Cheecharoen who was in his third year in Karachi was also present during the function.
