On 27 February 2026, Mr.Surashete Boontinand, Consul-General in Karachi, presided over an Iftar dinner at the Consul-General’s residence. The event was attended by more than 200 participants, most of whom were members of the Thai community and their families residing in Karachi and nearby cities. Approximately 50 Thai Muslim students currently studying at various universities in Karachi were also in attendance, along with members of the Friends of Thailand group. The latter consisted mainly of businesspersons from the Pakistan–Thailand Friendship Association and Business Forum, importers of Thai products, and owners of Thai restaurants in Karachi who have supported the mission of the Royal Thai Consulate-General.

On this occasion, the Consul-General delivered remarks to the Thai students, emphasizing the importance of dedicating themselves to their studies and actively participating in activities organized by their educational institutions. He encouraged them to make good use of their free time to further expand their knowledge while studying abroad, so that upon completing their studies and returning to Thailand, they would be able to apply the knowledge they have acquired for the benefit of themselves, their families, and society.
